I had one of those weeks where almost everything went well.

Surprise!Period was Surprising, but I lived
The seedlings came up
I found Moon & Stars Watermelon seeds
The apple tree is apparently a happy little tree bewcause it is putting out leaves like nobody's business
We got Robin edits
Shell-shocked sold
I got BPAL in the mail and Miskatonic University smells seriously yummy on me

And then there's the dress...

Bun is going to prom next week. She wanted a dress. So Tues, while we were out, I told her we'd look. She pointed a bridal shop having a sale. I suggested staying around $50 and trying secondhand shops. We stopped at our favorite thrift store. The lady had had a dress come in the day before, and she'd put it back behind the counter, not knowing why.

It's an ivory white and silver dress, very beautiful. Bun tries it on and it fits like it was made for her. It flatters her in a way most whites don't. And it's $50...

She's going to prom in a white and silver dress, elbow length satin gloves and indigo hair. Her girl is wearing a tux and indigo hair. I asked if we needed indigo flowers to match.

I may consider the gods to be metaphors, but sometimes the Aphrodite energy gets to working...even for one of Athena's girls.
