Now this is just weird
Dec. 11th, 2008 05:16 pmI seem to be in the spirit of the season.
Seriously.
I NEVER had the Christmas Spirit. It was one huge round of stress and obligation. It was something I did because the family expected it. In the last few years, I'd taken to snarling at Christmas carols.
So who's wearing a santa hat and caroling today?
Yeah.
There are cookies to be made tonight, and I'm excited. I haven't played with cookie cutters in a long time.
I've been singing. Okay, either very secular carols (Deck the Halls) or pagan rewrites (The Holly and the Ivy).
THE HOLLY AND THE IVY II
Hilda Marshall
The holly and the ivy
When they are both full grown
Of all the trees that are in the wood
The holly bears the crown.
Chorus
Oh, the rising of the sun
And the running of the deer
The shining of the winter stars
As the longer days draw near.
The holly bears a blossom
As white as any flower
As our Mother bears the infant Sun
In the winter's darkest hour.
The holly bears a berry
As red as any blood
As our Father bears the hunter's spear
for His hungry children's good.
The holly bears a prickle
As sharp as any thorn
As we shall bear our song of hope
On triumphant Yuletide morn.
But today, I had a good one... I blame
nbrooks
Jeff's nuts roasting on an open fire
Jack's cock bumping at your nose
Christmas beatings being doles by a squire
And huskyboys pulling sleds for Eskimos.
Everybody knows holly switches and some mistletoe
Help to make the skin burn bright.
Sexy subs with their butts all aglow,
Will find it hard to fuck tonight.
I'm being naughty...
And I love it
