BPAL: Magus
Dec. 9th, 2008 05:51 pmMagus: An ancient blend, swollen with arcane power: galangal, high john essence, frankincense, cedar, and sandalwood. (Bewitching Brews)
Vial: Sharp and nasty, High John? Galangal? coming right through. No hint of cedar, sandalwood or frankinscense
Wet: Still sharp and nasty. Some cedar scent showing
Drydown: Cedar coming on strong, some sandalwood and frankincense is starting in to sweeten it up
Dry: Cedar and frankincense. Very woody and masculine smelling. A dry sort of scent, of the woods and a hot day in Lebanon.
Half an hour: Frankincense getting stronger, cedar still there.
I like it, but it's not really me.
I knew, as soon as I saw this, that it would be the first I tried. There's a backstory to Magus, for me. You see, three years back, I was in an RPG called Fandom High.
The short form: Once upon a time, Han Solo fell in love with Bagoas. And at Christmas, they were having to break up. (On a personal note, I was wiped out. It hurt like I was in mid-breakup) Bagoas had flunked out. Han had come to a couple of unpleasant revelations about himself. And so, Bagoas got him a bottle of Magus as a parting gift, when he left.
