Because my stomach flu just escalated. I feel much better, but I'm not sure I'm going back to bed.
Dollface was sick Thursday and Friday and still peaky on Sat. I think she gave it to me.

I didn't go to a protest. I stayed home and caught her flu.

Mudd, Bun and Obi went.
The Memphis protest was about 250 people, not a bad turnout. Bun, being photogenic, got a lot of camera-time from the local news groups. (There's somethin surreal about a close-up of your daughter, her pink bangs fluttering in the wind as the anchor talks about how yes, we finally found the little old lady who went missing in May...or at least her bones)

I wish Obi had lowered the sign just a little and showed his face.

It's really something to me when a young lady like Bun can express herself like this. It's impressive - she's got the self-awareness to be passionate about a cause, caring about others... all that good stuff... it's rare, and something to be proud of... Good job mom... :)

Actually, she's the one things like this most effect. She's openly bisexual, leans to men, but has girlfriends now and then.

These are her rights being taken away and she's mad.

Obi, however, didn't have to be there.
And Mudd...he's come a long way since his fundy days.

I realize... but, to me, that makes it even more special - that she realizes she needs to be part of the solution, rather than waiting for the adults to sort it all out for her...

And yes, yay for supportive family! =o)
