One of THOSE Days
Sep. 12th, 2008 07:17 pmThe kind where I remind myself about 10 times that "any job which does not involve castrating sheep with my teeth is a GOOD job."
The zombies on the dock were slow. They're supposed to be done by 1 AM. They were done by 4.
The terminal is hosting a truck rodeo this weekend. So everything is cordoned off. There was much finagling to get the double trailers split and us delivery drivers out.
I pull in to my first stop the time I should be leaving it. They don't have much, but they have more going back than I unloaded. I promise to come back after Saturn.
Saturn has a cage, a big frame piece, 8 other pieces and a motor. It's freakin humid!
I go back and spend 1/2 an hour loading returns. 4 cages. 2 trannies and 35 other pieces, including a long chunk of frame. By now, it is 11:30 AM. I'm supposed to be arriving at my 4th stop and am just leaving my first.
Everyone else has returns too.
Gas jumped 50c this morning.
And the humidity is killing the arthritis in my ankle and knee (opposite legs)
