valarltdMy day sucked from the moment I locked my keys--both sets--in the truck.
Then I got to watch McCain smirk like he'd just broken the glass ceiling by naming an anti-woman/anti-gay/dominionist shill/ChristoTaliban-endorsed empty skirt-suit to the VP slot.
Such a brutally cynical move. I know exactly what was said, probably in just this many words. "Women are dumb. They'll vote for anyone with a cunt. Get one who doesn't look like a dyke or a trollop." "Christofascists are dumb. They'll vote for me now because I have a mom of five who didn't abort her down's baby and wants to make sure no one else can." "Rednecks are dumb. They'll vote, even with the bitch on the ticket, because I'm a POW." "Now, pick someone cute with a baby voice."
And Democrats are the elitists?
Not to mention the notion that if McCain dies in office and she mucks up the presidency, the GOP can pat its female members on the head and say "See, girls? We told you you're not ready for power."
