Intrusive source material

So, as I set out to write this adventure, I find my source material getting in the way. Oh it helps, certainly, but Little John always sounds like Phil Harris in my head. The only complication is that he' not a big bear, he's more akin to Jayne than Baloo.

And lately, Nottingham has been sounding more and more like Alan Rickman than the planned Gale Harold.
(esp after that last writing session. *shudder* The man has hideous fantasies)

Yeah Disney pretty much ruined Robin Hood for me even after repeated versions of the Errol Flynn version

I just always hear Roger Miller in my head. "Robin Hood and Little John walking through the forest, laughing back and forth at what the other had to say"

And of Course the FIRST thing that Popped into my mind when I saw your new icon was "Mamma said you and Wobin Hood (Said in the voice of a lisping baby rabbit) used to be SWEETHEARTS."
