I need to read her this:
Legend has it that one winter, Eostre found an injured bird on the ground.
To save its life, She transformed it into a rabbit. But the transformation
was not complete, causing the bird to take on the appearance of a rabbit but
retain the ability to lay eggs. In reverence to the Goddess who saved her,
the rabbit would decorate its eggs and leave them as gifts to children.
Because Eostre was well known for Her fondness of children, it's easy to see
how the rabbit would think that leaving these gifts to children would please
the Goddess.
