Beginning of collars
Taylor Hart had been having a bad year. No, a bad decade. He had figured out a few years ago that he was in love with Jarrett Byrne, but Jarrett was the type to laugh when love was mentioned. He'd tried keeping pets as Jarrett did, but they never worked out. Usually, they just left when he gave them the chance. There had been one who had taken a twenty-five floor swan-dive. That one haunted him.
Last summer, he had had a most amazing experience. Jarrett had broken the If Barrier, the wall separating the various probable worlds. Jared, Jarrett's other-self from a magical dimension, had consented to be Taylor's, when his lover turned up to draw him back home.
Finally, Taylor had screwed up his courage. He made a collar. Light, slim and beautiful, it reminded him of Jarrett. He sent it to Jarrett with a note that said only, “Consider?”
