Expensive busy weekend

valarltdWe got a bunch of stuff done to the Windstar, including an oil change and a new tire. I feel much safer. But hanging out at Wal-Mart revived the crafting instinct. I'm several inches into a babyblanket, and now I've learned that a favorite teacher (Jonner and Dollface both had her) is getting married this month. So, crochet overdrive!

I bought 12 copies of Torqued Tales for MidSouth Con. If you want a book of--pardon the expression--Fairy Tales, come check out the dealer room. I have them!
Must finish newsletter, vol 3.
I also ordered this t-shirt for the con.
I have pirate bling: 100 gold rings, 25 plastic jeweled rings, and 30 coins. Am looking into something carnival-esque.
And found out I have to have an artist's release to get the Nikolai image put on a cake. (A 1/2 sheet, with the cover=$31) Can't come up with any cool freebies for that.
Also, seriously planning the party. Memphis Belles, look for e-mail this afternoon.

I got "Five Time Loser: The Five of Pentacles" in to TQ for the Arcana.
I'm well into the sound story, and broke 10K on "Color of Money/Color of Magic"
I need to finish both of those this week.
Dark Roast Press contacted me about writing for them.
Circle Dark has a Fairy Tale collection, with an Aug 31 deadline. I'm thinking of doing "Toads and Diamonds."
"Office Politics" has been on hiatus.
Charlie is driving me mad. He is so ready for me to start his book that it isn't funny. Then during a plotting session, he nearly ruins everything by kissing Lord Edward far too early. *heaaddesk* talk about your bratty muses.

Obi wants a laser-tag birthday. So I'm making calls tonight.
I have to go to the credit union, and the pharmacy.
And then, pizza and either Captain Blood or The Thief of Bagdad.
And always, more laundry. Got a load running now.
