Ahhh, what a night
Feb. 26th, 2008 12:03 amWe went to the Tricky Pixie Concert.
It was amazing. It was con-high level amazing.
Sooj has always been good, but now she's brilliant.
The addition of James Alexander Adams and Betsy the Cello Mistress of the Universe only made it better.
Adams does a new version of Faerie Queen, and I thought Bun was totally going to spaz out.
And starting his solo with Fanfare for the Common Man... wow. And he is incredibly sexy. Combine him with Sooj and this show is smouldering.
Of course, it being Memphios, they couldn't escape without a performance of "In the House of Mama Dragon." especially since Mama Dragon herself was there tonight. She led the all-female conga line.
I should have bought the Tricky Pixie Live album too.
There is something juvenile yet satisfying about cruising past Belleview Baptist (aka Six Flags over Jesus) on a Sunday night, windows down and "Go Away Godboy" cranked to full volume. It was Bun's idea. I just put the windows down.
