If it's old enough, could it be an old-style size, and actually a size smaller than you're used to for the size number? I've found a few things like that on the resale shop racks. I wouldn't worry about zipping it, though. I like the "bloated in the grave" idea. How about walking on it in stilettos, or jabbing it with a fork, after it's good and wet, so that it develops...interesting patterns while it's in the ground?
