Tarot Take 2
Sep. 25th, 2002 10:14 am6 The Lovers
Everyone loves to get this card as it often points to new love, attraction and sex but it isn't always as it seems. It can indicate failed relationship, unfaithfulness and seperation as well.
Choice is often indicated here, and it's an important one. Quite often it's a struggle between the heart and the head.
Were I drawing this, it would be the boys together, maybe using the scene from the end of RotJ. Or maybe something more explicit, inspired by The Cosmic Tribe Tarot, found here:

7 The Chariot
Lots of conflict ahead, but it's all going to be all right in the end!
The Chariot is usually pulled by 2 horses that appear to go in seperate directions - a kind of pulling apart, hence the conflict.
There's lots of energy with this card though, it's all about dramatic movement and change.
On the flip side, there's plenty of room here for over confidence and arrogance.
Pod-racer, no question.
8 Justice
She's got a sword and she's prepared to use it!
Justice represents what's right and fair, the scales are to weigh and balance, the sword to deal the blow.
Normally, Justice is depicted blindfold, indicating that she's impartial and doesn't get emotionally involved.
The sword is double edged, so it can swing either way ... watch out!
I get an image of Mon Mothma, standing so calm and aloof, above the rebels. Maybe with her hands open as if weighing both sides of case.
9 The Hermit
It's time for some careful consideration, introspection and maybe a bit of time on your own.
Don't be too hasty.
The Hermit can also represent a refusal to accept advice when help would be beneficial
I'm stuck here. I keep seeing Uncle Owen, standing, slightly slumped, in the door of the house. Tired from too many years of hard work, and needing to consider the problem of his headstrong nephew.
10 Wheel of Fortune
This card's all about the cycle of life.
We're mid way through the deck now, and the Wheel lets us know that everything moves in circles.
Just as the wheel can move downwards and bring misfortune and bad luck, it is sure to move upwards again and bring us the luck we seek.
This would have to be an abstract card, perhaps the Imperial wheel melded over the fiery circular Rebel sign, with Old Republic Jedi in the upper right, clone troppers lower right, stormtroopers lower left and Luke in Jedi blacks upper right. I like that.
Drawing this card can herald a new cycle in life, but it can also be a pointer to the fact that destiny is at hand, and we may not have much to do with our current circumstances.
