from bad through worse and into hellish
Mar. 17th, 2007 09:54 pmMy work-week's tally:
3 out of 4 loads late
3 flat tires (not counting number 4, 2 weeks ago)
A blizzard in Ohio
A backing accident (I scraped a stretch about 4' long and 2 mm deep off a concrete ledge and lost some paint off my ICC bumper)
Getting stuck backing into the dock and having to be salted out. TWICE!
Getting scaled and then called into the chicken coop
a $320 fine for being overweight on my rear axle by ~3000 lbs
A tandem that wouldn't slide and took the scalemaster, me AND a random flatbedder to get me legal
Skinning into the parking area with 30 seconds on my 11 hours, giving me 70 hours of work this week (Had I been late, I would have logged yesterday's 4 hour pickup as sleeper berth)
And no toilet paper in the Wendy's bathroom.
The last just kinda adds insult to injury.
I told dispatch, "It could be worse, but only as a matter of degree."
I want to go home and rethink my life
Or at least my career choice.
