Long bad week.
I delivered 3 loads.
All of them late.
Mon, I set the only alarm in the house that WASN'T on Daylight Savings. I was 1/2 an hour late delivering my dirt. Then I got lost going to TN for my pick-up.
Went through Cairo IL.
A decided slum. Losing it will be no great loss, save of architecture and a museum. And it will squelch the fetid, unwholesome swamps of the lower Ohio
As you can tell, David was unimpressed.
Got my TN pick up, got to Mt. Vernon IL. Out of hours, no way to make it to Chicago with thge lawn tractors.
Picked up racks in Gary, ran them to Holland MI. Actually on time for that.
Picked up wood products in Newaygo MI, for a run to Irwin PA.
jkb still wheelless and unable to meet me. More's the pity as I picked up a nail in Kalamazoo and had a flat changed in Dexter MI, got stranded for the night.
Was 2 hours late into Irwin, and drove the Bird down a road i wouldn't want to take my minivan on. All straight up and then curvy down. I stalled on two of the hills and sat and CRIED after I docked. I had serious reservations about my job. The mountains around Pittsburgh are hell, and the turnpike? What a joke!
But now, I'm in West Middlesex PA. A nice silk run: pick up about an hour away, deliver at 11 PM Monday night in Arkansas.
