Quick MidSouthCon Report
Mar. 25th, 2006 10:43 amThe Shapeshifter panel went very well.
The reading wasn't bad. "cake Under the Mistleto" went over well. I got invited to FurryCon as a reader. Guess I better finish the story for Shifting Again.
Got the rejection for Nikolai from Loose ID. Not romantic enough and Charlotte's death is going to totally put off their readership.
They enjoyed it, but it's not right for their readers. They did suggest a couple places that might be interested, so I'll resubmit when I get home tonight.
"You have written a compelling story in a flowing style that grabs the readers.
Regretfully, we don't feel your story is right for us at this time. The
characters are intriguing, yet they lack the redeeming qualities our readers
have come to expect in Loose Id stories."
They're right. Ours are unrepentant villains and revel in it.
I'm off to
reannon's reading. Further updates as events warrent.
