Ah, joy of joys.

So I start it off:

Dollface is so sweet and a joy to work with, but not really catching on to the whole "letters" concept. She can copy anything in the world and does. her speech therapy is right on schedule.

Jonner is so sweet, a real joy and smart as a whip. But he's bombing language. I asked the teacher "Did you read his IEP? He was deaf during the language acquistion years and is playing catch-up." He's doing pretty well with speech therapy. He's making a 95 A in math, the rest is in the B-C range.

Obi is so sweet, so smart and so well behaved, but he doesn't do his homework... And this drives his teachers dotty because they know he's smart. I was looking at the snapshots on the wall outside the rooms. At 10, the boys start becoming beautiful. They really are. There is one boy in his class with skin the shade of dark caramel, and long almond eyes. My first thought was "Blaise Zambini!" Obi was looking at the camera with his clear skin, perfectly arched brows and enormous blue eyes with long lashes. There are hints of the man he will become, but right now, he's an ageless cherub. His music teacher had to brag on him too. They were working with time signatures. They'd covered dotted quarter-notes, but not intensively. She had them doing an exercise, and Obi was explaining it to his class-mates, almost exactly as she had explained. The rest were just going "I think we saw this..."

Bun's grades are, as always, all As and Bs. She's relieved. I'm pleased. She works very hard and 8th grade is killer.
