Thursday Blues
Oct. 13th, 2005 09:58 amFor some reason, I thought it was Friday, and was being difficult to wake. I told Mudd to get the kids up and tell them to get themselves off to school. He reminded me it was Thursday, and I had to go to work. Apparently, I have a fairly impressive vocabulary of Huttese vulgarity when I'm half-asleep.
But three really cool things on my f'list:
Poul Anderson's On Thud and Blunder. Sekrit Message to Forgotten Sea GS: It's in the bilge!
The Food Timeline Way, way cool, esp. for a historical cook/fanfic writer like me. No lasagna until the 1200s, what a bummer! The 1980s major food contributions were Monkey Bread, mud pie and dirt cake, according to this. Nop one remembers novelle cuisine? where you paid $100 for a 2x2 square of steak, 4 baby carrots and three green beans? (I miss pudding pops and tofutti)
And
misia writes on eunuchs. (pdf) Consider the Eunuch Must finish reading this one.
