A wild ride
Aug. 28th, 2005 06:46 pmI'm not in NO. I'm in Memphis.
We got hit with a squall, very nasty.
Cars puilling off the road, unable to see the road ahead level squall.
I went 240 to Crump, as always, and the Madison Ave. exit has a very low spot. I saw waves lapping against the sides of the overpass.
The low spot on Crump, under 240,was too low for my car, so I took an alternate route (and a highly illegal right turn on a left arrow)
My sinuses are killing me. Oe of the work-studies was in a car accident and couldn't come in.
It's going to be a lovely week.
Also, consider, New Orleans is where 30% of our oil imports dock. Katrina's gonna HURT everyone, not just NO.
