My avatar, Dr. Ruth Wickersham. Sturdy boots, heavy khaki pants, a breathable cotton shirt, sensible hair. She's ready to go on that graduate dig with Professor Jones.
That reminds me, I invented an Indiana Jones Mary Sue when I was... hmmm... 14? Maybe I could make a doll of it too, so we could compare notes. ^__^ (I don't really remember how she looked, though. I'd have to find for my manuscripts...)
Nooooooooooooo!!! Why?! Why! Why?! You looked so good in long hair. You always have... (*groan*) It's going to take you years to look that good again. Okay, so you're married and with kids, so who cares anymore, but... But... But... (*fume!*) I will never understand women.
Dr. Wickersham is the daughter of a linguistics professor at the college. She studied archeology, and made what should have been a major find in 1949 in Turkey: the Illugi Stele.
Although Brodie and several other curators assert it is genuine, most consider the stone, with its strange inscription and embracing men, to be a forgery.

Beatrice Ravenwood, my attempt of converting Professor Jones to monogamy. She was the one with Indy and Willie in the adventure that took them to the Temple of Doom (and Indy dumped the always-screaming Willie to stay with the ever resorceful Bea). But then Indy broke her heart and she ended up in Nepal, where Indy found her while looking for her father Abner and the headpiece of the staff of Ra. Of course, Indy realised how much he loved her in the course of that adventure, but Bea would not let another man (let alone the same man) bring her down again, so she fled right after returning to US. Next time he'll hear from her is a few years later, when Walter Donovan asks his help to find the Graal and tells him that Bea, whom he had contacted before for the same job, had vanished misteriously.
So Beatrice is smart and cunning like Short Round, tough as Marion, and wise as Henry Jones. ^_~

I don't know if I'm going to grow it out again. I went 6 years without cutting it and it never got longer than mid-back.
