The troops come back tomorrow night. I've missed them, but I'll miss my quiet.

I've done some serious writing, but need to really buckle down on some more. Torquere wants a Christmas single-shot. I'm giving them gay werewolves.

I took a book-repair workshop yesterday, which was just fascinating.

I've misplaced my glasses, which made a really awful drive to work and will only be worse going home. I blame [livejournal.com profile] sisabet for posting about her lost glasses which inspired mine to take a powder.

And
I decided to give tampons another try. I don't find them comfortable. I can feel the little booger, "no nerve endings" be hanged. I will try again next month, but am not hopeful.

Have you thought about the Diva Cup or the Keeper? I've been using the Keeper for several years now, and it works for me.

Try the "Tampax Pearl" ones. They're the only ones I can stand. And, at the risk of further TMI... I've found that if I can feel it, it means I don't have it up high enough.

OB--honest! Putting them in with a finger instead of an applicator is the only way to get them positioned right.

Thought about them. But given my experience with diaphragms (I once forgot one for 6 weeks), I've been hesitant.

My personal preference in tampons is the organic cotton kind. They're small, effective, and made from organically grown materials.

Check your store's natural food section, not where the regular tampons are.

It was six weeks. My periods weren't really regular after my first baby, and my sex-life even less so. I put it in, fell asleep afterward and forgot it.

About a week or two after my period didn't quite happen (I spotted some), Mudd got frisky, and I went hunting for my diaphragm. Then I remembered it.

It was really, really gross. The blood had started to rot. It had stained the diaphragm, and I found two pinpoint holes where it was compromised.

We went to condoms, and used them for the next 7 years. Never got pregnant when we didn't want to be.
