Gushing over a Graphic Novel

Mudd wanted to get a book from Amazon and needed more items to boost the total to the Free Shipping. So I got Obi a "What's happening to my body" book for boys, and I got myself Star Wars Infinities: ANH.

Oh my. Oooooo! Lookit the pretty pretty subtext! Luke spends 8 years on Dagobah, and we're not told how much of it, but Han spends a fair chunk of it with him. And they're friends, and they're in each other's space and they're fighting side by side and when Luke has a fury explosion after Yavin, Han not only takes the brunt of it but doesn't let the fact that Luke drew on him and was ready to slice'n'dice get in the way of their friendship.

Oh and there's Vader training Leia too.


I'm starting to feel derivative, but I'm seriously squeeing at the same time.

Finally, a pro writer who gets that the Trio is a Trio and should not be split into a couple and a third wheel.


Ahhhhhhhh. Pass the cigs.

I was afraid of the Infinities stuff after the "what if Luke died on Hoth" one, but...hm. I'll look for ANH. :) KC

The ANH is good.
The ESB looks a little...different.
I would really like to see the RotJ one.

There is no continuity between them, so Luke won't be dead in the RotJ.

Yeah, they're like Marvel What If stories. I just hate deathfics...especially smarmy ones and boy that ESB one just pushed all my unhappy buttons. :) KC
