Mudd is a Free Man
Nov. 14th, 2004 03:40 pmHe has gotten out of the casino racket. His gaming badge was up for renewal in March, but he decided he would do better to just take his leave now. He's miserable with not seeing me, tired of working 8 shifts in a week (this cuts hims back to 6: 5 days at the HS and the Tuesday night Astronomy lab at Rhodes), tired of never having a day off.
Seeing evidence that Bunny has synaesthesis. She sees her letters in color. And certain words have colors unrelated to the letters. And she experiences sound as texture, just as I do. This is why she's good with her trumpet: wrong notes feel wrong as well as sound wrong.
Obi may have it too, as he kicked in that D was green as opposed to Bunny's pink. I don't see letters in color. But I don't actually see letters anyway. I see words. Unlike most writers/librarians/wordy folk, I'm terrible at Scrabble. You give me 7 letters, and all I have is 7 letters, with no way to make them be a word. But once they are laid out as a word, I can see the word. (Word searches give me headaches you wouldn't believe)
I think I'm going to call my relief and go home. I've spiked a fever and feel like I'm dying.
Then again, I will probably just spend the evening on the Sims, with the Micardis in Pleasantville.
Alyssa Micardi married General Mills. She was a security guard and he was a military recruit. They've got a nice house, a hot tub, a telescope and some friends. They had a beautiful bouncing baby girl named Marlena Mills. She's a child prodigy and spent most of her youth in a platinum state. She's just grown into a teen. Alyssa will try to get her into private school again, having failed dismally last time.
(I also found a place to download SW skins for sims... Doooom! I have a feeling the Skywalker family will be moving to Veronaville soon, and adopting. I wonder if I can alter the Solo sim's clothes, add some stubble and make an Indiana Jones sim.)
We saw Shrek 2 last night. Oh my! Hubby and I laughed our fannies off. The kids didn't get all the jokes (esp. not Donkey's "I'm coming Elizabeth!") but we did.

Date: 2004-11-14 04:20 pm (UTC)I have heard a few tips though. Buy expensive shit - paintings, sculptures, etc. Have one in every room and make sure the environment score in every room is as high as it can be. So clean up well and make sure all weeds are pulled from the garden.
Sell your TV or hide it and have the kids studying or playing the piano when he arrives. Cook the best meal you can - salmon or lobster thermidor. Some people say they've winged it with pork chops.
And get the cool shades from the aspiration rewards. Apparently that gives even your most charismatic Sims an extra va va voom when schmoozing.
