1) I will never be ferociously feminist enough to be comfortable wearing a sleeveless dress with unshaven armpits. Also, I like the slick skin feel from elbow to waist in the shower. Very sensual.
2)I am hopelessly square. My sandals have straps around the heel.
3)I like to crochet while playing Civilization III. Fills the time as the computer moves every single piece.
4)I’m trying to decide what to enter in the MidSouth Fair this year. I want to do an afghan.
5)I sing in the car but almost never in the shower.
6) My idea of a perfect 4th of July involves cooking out, watermelon and home-made ice cream and then going to see the fireworks in a public show.
7) Mail delivery excites me. I love getting mail, even if it’s just a grocery flier.
8) I keep fanzines on my bedside table.
9) I do not own a single piece of “dry clean only” clothing.
10) I have an insatiable boot fetish. My sneakers can be (and are) falling apart, but I want ankle boots or knee boots or moccasin boots. I own 3 pr of boots, 2 wearable pr of shoes and 2 pr of sandals.
I get a 4 day weekend this week. This is nice. I work today and tomorrow.
The Home-school coordinator is out until Tuesday. I’ll call her then.
I want to enter every category at the fair. I want to bring home ribbons for my jams and my quilts and my beautifully carved hair sticks and my wedding cakes. One problem. I don’t make any of those things.
But I know exactly which afghans I’ll make (mint, raspberry & white carousel and rainbow twirlies), and they’ll go to Project Linus after the fair. One child sized, one infant sized. Gotta finish Sonia’s first tho, and that has to be done this weekend.
This Weekend:
Mow front yard (after I put the handles back on the mower.)
Clean Obi and Jonner’s rooms.
Finish vids, burn DVDs
Write a lot
Finish baby afghan
Maybe a trip to LibertyLand. That’d be about $60, tho’. Not counting stuff in the park.
I've got my costume planned for next year's MWC. No, it won't take a whole year to make, but I had inspiration. For the Cheap & Humorous category: "Bad hair day." It's thrift store haunting time. i need a big hand mirror. I mean salon-sized or bigger.
Bunny's being Galadriel. So I need to look for her jewelry and ear tips as well.
I've started my art show entries. How pathetic is that? They may get entered at the fair as well.
And I'm looking into learning to make my own hair sticks. I love these things. Mine are cheap purple plastic. I want some really pretty ones and I don't want to spend huge amounts.
