valarltdSo the troops went to the zoo last night. Mudd’s work had a zoo-night. This was the second rain-date, since the first rain date was rained out.
Dollface got to see her penguins. I’d promised her back in April or May (after they made penguins in her preschool class) that this summer we’d go to the zoo and see penguins. She was very tickled. Seeing a giraffe poop was also a highlight.
They got to see the pandas that are on loan right now.
And the kids played Bingo. Dollface has a very nice Gund bear. Obi got a teddy bear too. Jonner got a 35 MM camera. He promptly announced he wanted to “take pictures of naked people” with it. Yep. Mom’s Lillith strain bred true in that little incubus.
Had a very strange dream. I was driving my husband’s Focus, trying to get to Media West. But the Holiday Inn had moved to a weird parking lot and was next to impossible to get into. I swiped a parked car, broke their tail-light and my headlight, kept going and never looked back. Mom and Dad were back-seat driving.

jkb met us. (It was myself, Bunny, both my parents, my sister and Dollface, who was a baby.) Dad bawled her out for smoking. Joanna doesn’t smoke. Mom’s room looked like a room from the Parent Care Unit at Children’s Mercy Hospital. She and Bunny got settled and Dollface attempted to mountaineer up my sister. I went to get my key returned (I was coming back for a couple days), and they’d changed the décor to “disco + martial-arts-cum-leather-shop.” I was informed that there was a virulent strain of staph going around the baths, and that orgies would need to be postponed.
At that point I looked at Joanna and said “I just wanted a soak in the hot-tub.”
Then a leg spasm woke me.
I played on the work-out equipment in the Buccaneer yesterday. I think I’ll go do some more today. 6 minutes on the recumbent bike, 6 on the stairstepper, 6 on the rower and 5 shoulder presses of 40 lbs. Burned right at 90 calories. Everything helps.
