valarltdThose who know me, know I am MPD. There are 5 active personalities and 2 dormant.
So, for those joining us in progress, who may not know...
Dormant:
Marie. The original personality, drowned in the lake by her uncle.
Angel. The neuter personality who emerged from the lake. Did most of our coping for a long time.
Active:
David. The outgoing, charming salesman comes with a wicked elitist streak. He's the smartest person in the room and will cheerfully let you know, should you happen to have missed it. Gay gay gay. Will flirt with any man in the room. Likes carrying a fan, shopping, smoking. Will claim he listens to classical but has a taste for pop music that includes the 50s to today, knows most of the words to Andrew Lloyd Weber's oeuvre and can't sing any of the notes. On the magical side, he's fairly powerful as a wizard but like to put forth the image he has no magic, only science. He's also the cartomancer of the group. He's small, slim and a natty dresser, and gets cranky about having to dress a body the size of mine.
Hester. Hester is cute. She is tall and thin and might be a cat, but we're not sure. Sometimes she has wings and sometimes a tail, but she always has stripey socks. She is cute and funny and playful. She also works wonderfully hard. Her taste in music is the most bubblegum pop you can imagine and folk music. She's a religious witch, and possibly the most dangerous one in here. She was the one who called on Hera to the point of possession. She was the one who cast a protection on our oldest son so powerful she was speaking Gaelic to invoke it (we don't speak Gaelic)
She's the one the craft store customers like.
Mike is the problem solver and the dominant. The superego who forces us to push through when we really don't want to. He's good with chakras and a fairly accomplished sorcerer. He likes rock with a solid beat behind it.
Nick is working the primary slot most of the time these days. Originally a protector personality, he ended up primary with Angel's defection. If you're talking to us, you're probably talking to Nick these days. He's a raw power mage, with little finesse and no use for elaborate rituals. His taste in music is primarily country, southern rock and hard rock with forays into speed metal, pop, folk and filk.
Zara is going dormant. She's been quiet in the last year. She is the clever side. If David is the intellectual finesse, she is mind power. Arrogant, confident, elitist and generally superior, she's a sorceress of the first water, meticulous, detailed and powerful, looking down her long nose at everyone and everything. Her taste in music is nearly nil and although her theme song is "Bad Romance," she detests pop.
