Of the Day's Annoyances, These
May. 27th, 2016 12:16 amIt has been one of those days that can just be done, over and done.
Of the day's annoyances, these:
That I dragged out of bed, showered and dressed. Yet accomplished nothing else in two hours.
That I dragged through a bureaucratic run-around for Husband Number 2.
That two lanes of the bridge were closed and the traffic was backed up to Club Road.
That the power was out at the KFC, and no food was available.
That the 55 was crowded because the 40 was closed.
That the Checkers crew was even slower than usual
That I was late to work.
That I was late getting off work.
That it stormed on me on the way home.
That my girl had her first and last day of work as a maid.
That the Walmart manager was slow on the uptake.
That my girl is an Ordeal Magnet.
That my phone died. But not before I had taken three messages that i couldn't deliver.
That the website where I was doing paperwork crashed.
It's done. Everything is completed. And I'm going to finish this episode of Brimstone and go to bed.
