And so it ends
May. 19th, 2015 09:36 amNo more tooth aches. No more nights waking up crying in pain. No more 2 percocet, 2 vicodin, 4 Tylenol PM and a shot of everclear nights.
All my teeth are out. Some of them, my back right molar in particular, did NOT want to come out. I had gas and three syringes full of anesthetic and only mild discomfort. The sounds were terrible. I was high enough that I stared at the petty lightened panel in the ceiling (a sky with lilacs) and thought "Lilacs, Mom."
And I join the ranks of such people as Clark Gable, Florence Henderson, Demi Moore and Winston Churchill. And of course, Martha Rae.
I may not be quite ready for that, but I am feeling better.
The first picture is an attempt at a smile after surgery, when I still had a face full of anesthetic. The second is 8 hours later.
