Recipe: Vampire Bite

For the Grenadine:
1/2 c pomegranate juice
1/2 c sugar
Several drops orange flower water
In a small saucepan over high heat, combine pomegranate juice and sugar. Bring to a boil and heat until sugar is dissolved. Add the orange flower water, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat, transfer to an airtight container, and refrigerate until cold.

For the cocktail:
Ice
1-½ oz silver tequila
½ oz Campari
1 oz blood orange juice
2 oz tamarind soda
½ ounce grenadine "blood"
1 slice blood orange (optional)
In a highball glass filled with ice, combine tequila, Campari, blood orange juice, and soda. Stir lightly, then top with grenadine "blood." Garnish with blood-orange slice.

Most of you know I have a bad tooth that has been giving trouble for a couple months. Today my face was visibly swollen from it.

And today another tooth, on the OPPOSITE side of my mouth, fell out while I was eating a burrito. The tooth had decayed away under the crown, and the pressure from 2 years of holding up my partial upper plate did it in.

I need a dentist and the dental college is closed for the summer. We can't afford an actual oral surgeon.

Worked 5 hours, rode 3-4. Got some knitting in, and some plastic canvas work.
