Today I went out and about.
Had some nice Mongolian Beef. Oli got a haircut. Got Cat's pills.
And I have Sugar and Cream cotton and slightly thicker double points

Nothing written or edited. Had a stunningly goofy idea: post-apoc. Everyone is a disco diva and speaks in Lolcat. Because that was what survived.
"Ceiling Cat spake: I can haz dancing. Ceiling Cat spake: I can haz sexing. Ceiling Cat spake: Get Down Tonight. Ceiling Cat is watching you."

Also, figured out the purpose of the Slide O' Death I'm writing.
"Just the thought of it's enough to make you sick!
And I'm tellin' you, them sewer rats is quick!
No denying times is hard, sir
Even harder than the worst pies in dungeon!"

Made it to the heel-flap of the second sock, cast on anddid 3 rows of the cotton sock. That one's slower because it's all ribbed.

On the business front, I contacted four leather conventions about being a guest:
Beat Me in St. Louis
Great Lakes Leather Alliance (Indianapolis)
Fountain City Fetish Fest (KC)
Spanksgiving (St. Louis)
And I updated my website with my convention schedule and forthcoming books

This is a graph of my earnings as a professional writer. The 2012 numbers are not complete. I lack 2 months from Ellora's Cave, 4th quarter from Amber Quill and Storm Moon. I don't track anthology single-payments.

In 2007, I made $368 in royalties, on two short stories: Collared Hearts (Phaze) and Raising the Dead (EC).

In 2008, I added For Love of Etarin and Eight Days Ablaze (EC) and Frosted Hearts (Phaze)

In 2009, I published:
Shell-Shocked (Pink Petal)
Glad Hands (EC)
Heart of a Forest (EC)
Cherry Tart (in Ellora's Cavemen)
Pushing the Boundaries of Reality (Phaze)
Curse of the Pharaoh's Manicurists (Amber Quill)
Alive on the Inside (Amber Quill)

5 full length novels in one year boosted my earnings

In 2010:
Showdown at Yellowstone River (PP)
Sky-Rat (PP)
Privateer's Treasure (EC)
Master Bear (AQ)
Chain Male (AQ)

I also got my first advance for my story in Wild Passions

In 2011:
Breathe Deep (AQ)
Four-Play (AQ)
Long Term (AQ)
Thigh to Thigh (AQ)
Swimming Through the Net (AQ)
Worth the Woe (AQ)
Songs for Guitar and French Harp (Storm Moon) (paid in 2010)

All of these were shorts. I spent the year hard at work on 2 novels. I got an advance for one, making up $500 of the list. I also made $800 on convention sales.

In 2012:
Spellbound Desire (EC)
Man hunt (AQ)
Hard Reboot (AQ)
Power in the Blood (SM)

There were also 4 anthology shorts this year. A $250 advance on a novel coming in Feb makes up a chunk of this year. And my convention sales were $751 of the total.

And this is why I keep my day job...

Amy is an author herself. She gave us 4 stars while 50 Shades of Gray got one. And she's got a bit of a book-hangover right now, where you can't start a new book because you're still in the world of the last one.

Thanks, Amy.
