Midsouth Con this weekend.
I had good panels: JF Lewis and I did "The Scoop on Sex" I was sleep-deprived enough to ask the moderator if she'd brought an ice-cream scoop, like in "Stripes." SAturday brought "All Steam No Punk" with Kimberly Richardson, not about sexy steampunk, but about about attitudes and politics and fashion, rather than gadgetry. And of course, Paranormal Romance. So there was sparkly vampire sex and much taking of Laurell K Hamilton's name in vain.
Sold 9 books, 5 of them POWER IN THE BLOOD
And Major Don West and Judy Robinson (the real ones! Guests of Honor) borrowed my pocketknife. For serious. The banners were being difficult over their signing tables and they had to cut some threads or strings and get them hung right.
My geekiness is still squeeing.
I'm tired, and my editor really doesn't much like HARD REBOOT. But we'll work on it.
