valarltd: (succubus)
I am a sick little succubus today. Fortunately, I was sick enough that by the time I had an accident, all I got were some slightly used carrots, without anything awful.

Needless to say, I got very little done.
I got Adventuresses formatted for ebook and print, but that's all. Literally nothing else. Oh and I read some more of Field of Blood while stuck in the bathroom.

Go see if you can get a copy of Power in the Blood. Who doesn't enjoy a Vampire Apocalypse?

Excerpt:

Oren staggered into his house shortly before dawn. He'd left the Undying sleeping in the motel, with his card on the nightstand beside her. She would be a great help on the battlefield and in the bedroom. He sighed and rubbed his cock, wincing at its rawness. She'd blown him and fucked him twice and he was still horny, despite feeling as if he'd just been hit by a train. He couldn't get it up again tonight, not a chance, and even if he had a partner, putting it anyplace was going to hurt.

Brigitte gave him a wave from behind her favorite terminal in the living room. He saw a pair of small feet and heard loud swearing from under a different desk, followed by three hard clunks. Turning his living room into a command center was just one of his many quirks. Once he'd learned of his Breather status, he'd known that he didn't want to be immortal, and had taken steps to prevent it. Sometimes his precautions seemed paranoid even to him. It wasn't only the vampires he worried about.

“Lilah, Dad's home. Watch your mouth.” Brigitte kicked her sister in the foot. Another clunk answered her. “And stop Standard Repair Operation One.”

Another clunk told him that Standard Repair Operation One, also known as hitting the object, was still in progress. Finally, Lilah scooted out, her face sweaty except where the infrared magnifying goggles covered it. “Sorry, Dad.” She tipped the goggles onto the top of her head.

“I use worse, baby girl. What's wrong with it?” He wasn't even sure which piece of equipment had malfunctioned, but he had complete confidence that she would fix it.

Lilah launched into a technical explanation that Brigitte and Blake would probably understand. He decided only every other word was in English. He held up a hand to cut off her torrent of technobabble.

“Lilah, baby, Daddy had a long hard night. What's wrong with it? In words of one syllable or less.”

“Screen go black. Box go boom. Lilah pound on it and fix it. Work by night time.”

“Lilah's two syllables,” Brigitte said helpfully.

Lilah flipped her sister an obscene gesture that had been old when Sumer fell. Oren shook his head, laughing. “All right. Wake me for supper.”
