Been reciting this to myself all day as I drove through fading fall colors under a chilly gray November sky.

The kids are home for Teachers' meetings, and Obi has gone walkabout, because it's a beautiful perfect day. So I read him this. while wearing my CPAP. Hence the title

My November Guest
by Robert Frost
My Sorrow, when she's here with me,
Thinks these dark days of autumn rain
Are beautiful as days can be;
She loves the bare, the withered tree;
She walks the sodden pasture lane.

Her pleasure will not let me stay.
She talks and I am fain to list:
She's glad the birds are gone away,
She's glad her simple worsted grey
Is silver now with clinging mist.

The desolate, deserted trees,
The faded earth, the heavy sky,
The beauties she so truly sees,
She thinks I have no eye for these,
And vexes me for reason why.

Not yesterday I learned to know
The love of bare November days
Before the coming of the snow,
But it were vain to tell her so,
And they are better for her praise.

Busy day

So, what have i done all day?

Went to work, which is getting harder and harder to get through.
Came home to 3 kids. Set them each one small, nasty task (Pick a letter A B or C, I'll tall you want it is when you pick) and hooked up to my CPAP for an hour.
Started chili in my crock pot.
Wrote almost 300 words.
Watching "Let's Make Love" over the top of the computer as I type. I needed something banal.

WHEW!

It's been an exhausting battle.

Power in the Blood: 59101, for a total of 1907 added today

Grand total: 5504

But, I'm cutting the epilogue, so the new total word count is 58512, with 7K left to add.

Oren dropped to one knee beside Joshua, trying not to land on any of the unlovely viscera that lay strewn about on the beslimed carpet. He checked to see how much damaged had actually been done and felt his stomach churn. Disemboweled, dismembered, disgusting and decapitated. Oren picked up Joshua's head. The intense brown eyes opened at his touched. Joshua smiled at the sight of him and then mouthed “Ouch.”

Oren chuckled. “Come on. I'll take you home and hook you up to Dennis' computer. I think Marcus' headgear will fit you just fine. You can regenerate in peace and quiet. I think you'll like Brigitte, my oldest daughter. She's brand new Undying and could use a good mentor.”
