One of those weeks
Apr. 21st, 2011 01:04 pmI am having a bad week. A very bad week.
Monday: call from school results in a talk with the principal, an argument with the school cop, and a son on 10 day suspension. (Don't ask) And me recommending the principal MIGHT want to get his people some sensitivity training and education on religious minorities.
Tuesday: Picked up extra kid from work. Dr appt for Bun and Oli. Oli doing better on Happy Pills. No need to put her back on Monster Pills. Bun refilled on Happy Pills and LevelOut. Stopped by cop--in a construction zone--for driving a semi over a low-weight bridge. Was empty and well under weight limit.
Wed: Storm woke Oli before I went to work. Soothed her and sent her back to bed. Errands, errands after work. Weight watchers...scale is going the wrong way! And an IEP meeting on Oli's remedial reading. She is getting indirect services next year, instead of being pulled out of the classroom. No summer school. I dropped a letter to one of my publishers forewarning her of novel content and letting her know I plan to self-publish since I'm violating every, and I do mean EVERY hard guideline. Yes, up to and including necro. (mentioned, not on screen) I'd been putting that off for a while.
Today: Linehaul got caught in 9 car and winnebago pileup on 155, so he was late this morning. I came home to news of a long-awaited death, which makes it no fucking easier. I had been praying for her and her husband all day, but she had already gone late last night.
Farewell to a brave and strong woman. You have earned not only a place as a valkyrie but a feather cloak as well for your courage.
