I really like this one. Then again, I like my Christmas music medieval or talking about it.

You have walked 416 miles.
You have passed Glorfindel!.
It is 2 miles to the next landmark.
You have 42 miles to reach Rivendell.

The light faded, and the leaves on the bushes rustled softly. Clearer and nearer now the bells jingled, and clippety-clip came the quick trotting feet. Suddenly into view below came a white horse, gleaming in the shadows, running swiftly. In the dusk its headstall flickered and flashed, as if it were studded with gems like living stars. The rider's cloak streamed behind him, and his hood was thrown back; his golden hair flowed shimmering in the wind of his speed. To Frodo it appeared that a white light was shining through the form and raiment of the rider, as if through a thin veil.

It's being busy around here, but I need to post about a few things.

I have a story that needs a title. It's about a space pirate and a scion of one of the galaxy's Great Houses. They meet by accident, fall hard and separate because of matters of state. Boy gets married, produces heirs. Pirate keeps pirating. Boy gets informally divorced, and calls his pirate to come take him away from all this. They get back together at a masquerade orgy on Daddy's private space station. Pirate gets hit with a drug incompatible with his system, fucks his way across the station and boy ends up rescuing him.

"Escapus Interruptus" is the only suggestion so far.

Here's the cover:

My week has gone pretty well, in general. Freight has been heavy.
I've subbed everything that needs it and am editing on the next. Creation comes next week.

I have been given a Fantastical Creatures Tarot Deck. It is gorgeous and it answers me nicely. It didn't respond so well for thew original owner.
I have acquired two decks this year, bringing my Tarot total to 3, and a Greenman deck.

Bun's boi...where to start?
He made a horrible impression on my family when they were down for Thanksgiving. He didn't bother to shower or shave after getting off work. He couldn't even be arsed to wash his hands. He's a MECHANIC. He showed up, badly stubbled, greasy hair and his hands pitch black. I have NEVER in my life seen my father refuse to shake hands withy another man before that night.
Then he was about 100% attitude. And the fact that Mr. Hotshot Mechanic got pulled over for having a headlight out (which Bun says has been burned out for a year)...as in, he can't be bothered to change a headlight for his MOTHER...did not sit right at all.

Then Tuesday I get a call thaty bun has spent the morning helping bail him out of jail. JAIL! Of all her father's many shortcomings, going to jail was not among them. To quote her, "He was stupid and forgot to go to court for some traffic stuff. TWICE. So the judge put out a bench warrant. And he spent the night making friends in a jail cell."

It's a case of "Hex him til he glows and curse him in the dark" I think.

Saw Harry Potter. Obi is a dead ringer for Bill Weasley. I kid you not. He put on Hogwarts robes today, and I think we have the next "Media Recreation: winner."

47) Something Wicked This Way Comes. 1980s Disney horror flick with Jason Robards and Jonathan Pryce. I saw this ages ago, remembered almost nothing of it. So, I saw it again, as I should have before I wrote Alive on the Inside. It is EXCELLENT, even retaining some of Bradbury's poetic style. Pryce is seriously hot. (f, 2 The women don't talk to each other)

48) Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, part 1. Kudos. This was a well-paced, adventurous film. Better than the book. And I always knew my Obi was a Weasley. Turns out he's Bill. (p, if you count an interrogation)

49) Santa Clause 3: Escape Clause. Tepid third movie. Entertaining but suffers a lack of Bernard, as David Krumholz had passed puberty. (p)
