Cancer is an ugly way to die. I've lost a number of people to it. I was reminded very viscerally over the holidays how much my mother misses her husband who died of prostate cancer. I have a gynecologist appt. coming up soon. Every six months and hopefully no LEEP this time around.

State of the Sooky

Got up.
Got dressed.
Wrote almost 1700/20000 words on the Samhain fairytale, due Feb 1.
Surprise period is surprising.
Went to grocery store.
Made dinner. I cut most of the meat off the ham then baked the rest in a pot of water for about 4 hours at 250. Then I took out the bones, shredded the meat, added 2 packages of pork gravy mix and a bag of pearl barley. Very yummy.
Skipped Church Meeting. Not enough gasoline.
Read: haven't yet, will go do that in bed.
Coerced oldest son into dishes. "Conquer the world later. Conquer the dishes now."
Coerced both boys into baths.
