New Jersey Senate is voting on the marriage equality bill TODAY! The Assembly gets it Monday. They want to get it through so the lame-duck democratic governor can sign it into law, rather than the inco,ing republican who has announced he will veto it.

Also in Marriage Equality news, Prop 8 hearing coverage will be on delayed Youtube feed, rather than live. It may seem a half-measure, but the bigots don't want it seen at all.

So, while I was gone I took Mudd's big down coat. So Mudd wore my Schneider Award Jacket. It's like a letter jacket, has years of service velcro'd to the sleeve, says "Schneider" and has a name patch. Mine is half-folded over. This is important.

I am 6'. Mudd is 6'2" and slouches to 5'10". I am much larger around than he is. My coat is a 3X and he was lost in it.

Anyway, while he was out, people would ask "Oh you drive?" He would answer "No, it's my partner's coat." They would then take in the size of it.

A few of them looked at it and then at him. They came to one of two conclusions: his wife is an amazonian trucker (true) or he's gay and his lover is a big guy (false). The latter tended to edge away as if the gay were contagious. Far more came to the gay conclusion.

He found it an interesting social experiement.

Work: Rough. It's been rough all week
Shower. Love my shower.
Weight Watchers. Down 4.8 lbs! This puts me at 265.0. (264.2 is my low)
Dinner: out for 'za with Mudd
Scent of the day: Bordello. A decadent, deep perfume, lusty and luxuriant. The scent evokes images of velvet-lined Old West cathouses, tightly laced corsets, rustling petticoats and coquettish snarls of pleasure. Bawdy plum with amaretto, burgundy wine and black currant. Smells like Bonne Bell's Sugar Plum lipgloss that I wore in 7th grade...very iffy on this one but Dollface likes it on me.
Writing: edited Showdown at Yellowstone River. 505 words on the airship pirates. Count=23530
FLYing: made bed, shined sink, did the Kitchen Mission (scrub counters). Had kids do the laundry mission.
Reading: Deviations IV: Bondage by Jodi Payne and Chris Owen
Tarot Meditation for the Day: Six of Swords. A young man sits in a swan boat propelled by a spectre toward a green island, six swords in the gunwales. Movement away. Coming out of danger or the past. Alternatively, simply getting by. Functioning without dealing with the problems. The blues.
