Busy weekend

Last night I finished editing "Plumbing the Depths" for QUEER DIMENSIONS.

Today, I poked around in the garage. My haul: 2 photo albums, a good dress for Oli, my Girl Scout insignia, TOP SECRET RECIPES LITE, the sunshade for Pride and my lopper.

I put the lopper to good use, pruning back a decorative tree that had gotten rambunctious en ough to start mugging visitors, trimming the rosebush and clearing out a stand of young willow-oaks that had gotten established in the decorative border. The largest was as thick as my thumb.

I hate killing trees, but it was them or my foundation slab.

BPAL: Night-Gaunt

Night-Gaunt: (picnic in Arkham): No one ever found what the night-gaunts took, though those beasts themselves were so uncertain as to be almost fabulous. Carter asked them if night-gaunts sucked blood and liked shiny things and left webbed footprints, but they all shook their heads negatively and seemed frightened at his making such an inquiry. When he saw how taciturn they had become he asked them no more, but went to sleep in his blanket.

Their scent of their slick, rubbery hides is bittersweet, ticklish, and skin-creeping: something akin to yuzu, white grapefruit, and kumquat mixed with the snow-dusted flowers of Mount Ngranek

Vial: Dark gold oil. Citrus and fruity.
Wet: citrus floral, lemony, grapefruit. This isn't the lime and coconut of shoggoth
Drydown: Sharp citrus and floral. Not a bad throw
Dry: Definitely fruit, must be the kumquat, with some flowers in.
2 hours: Lovely summery floral with citrus in it. Grapefruit keeps it from being too sweet. I like Shoggoth better, but this is really nice.
