21) Raintree: Inferno. Linda Howard. First in the series. I lucased this series, that is, I started in the middle and worked toward both ends. The other two were better. I had trouble getting past Dante (our hero) mind-raping his destined bride. (There are two concepts in that sentence I have trouble with) It was a good premise, just...poorly executed and the end felt rushed, even for the first book of a series.

22) The Two Lives of Errol Flynn. Michael Freedland. This is a biogrpahy by a man who reads biographies. I've already encountered 90% of this information--in a more entertaining voice--in My Wicked Wicked Ways. Not hard going, just very little new material.

9) San Antonio. Big technicolor Flynn western. He was drunk most of the shooting but it doesn't show. Not like it did on The Sun Also Rises. Rewatch, (p)

10) Desperate Journey. WWII pic about downed RAF fliers trying to escape Germany (almost on the Polish border). Not too bad. Even Ronald Reagan turned in a pretty good one this time. (f,2)

11) The Mummy Returns. Rick and Evie and their son are in trouble again. Lots of early CGI, not all of it perfect. Lots of shooting and chasing and chaos. Brendan Frasier and Rachel Weiscz sell the romance and the action. Oded Fehr at his hottest (the hair and the eyes and the beard and the mouth and GUHHHHHHHHHHHH). Delightful. Rewatch. (p, even if it's just Evie and Ankh-su-namen trading threats)

Mondays always get a little manic around Chez Mudd.

Weight Watchers is going well. I'm down to 280. That's 16 lbs off of me, and I'm no longer within shouting distance of 300.

Anyway, the rest of the week is busy too.

I've got a virulant rash that is NOT clearing up. I'm seeing the dr tomorrow.
The words "my skin is sloughing off" got me in a little faster.

Dollface has a dr trip Wed, She is having chest tightness and coughing a lot, even in her sleep.

Thursday is class.

Bun and Obi and Oli went out to stargaze.
Jonner warned them "Noooo, don't go! There are hideous beasts!"
Apparently our yard harbors hobgoblins and mountain trolls.
