29) Silver River. B&W. Mike McComb is cashiered for burning an army payroll to keep it out of the hands of Confederates. He goes west and uses pure selfishness, ruthless double-dealing and a pure David-and-Uriah moment to rise to the top of society in Silver City. (f, 1)

30) Singing in the rain. As talkies replace silents, Monumental pictures has a big problem. Their beautiful star has a shrill, squeaky, nasal voice and a hideous accent. They solve the problem by having a nobody dub her lines. Wackiness ensues. Some of Gene Kelley's finest dance work. Debbie Reynolds is brilliant. (p)

I hate the smell of rejection in the morning

We just heard from Loose-Id. "Showdown at Yellowstone River" doesn't suit their needs at this time. We got a LOT of rewrite suggestions, some of which we're going to use.

It's nice to know a house thinks you're worth improving. But, in the Dakota-in-my-head, Paz is shooting things.
