Last day of school!

The kiddles are off to the last day of school.
After this is Dixie Band Camp, piano camp, and summer school.

I'm back to work after my weekend, but don't have to be there until 8 AM.
My crunch granola raisin bran, while crunchy and granola-y and bran-y, is sorely deficient in the raisin part. I've had 3 in this bowl.

Naomi and I got started on a new story. Very hush-hush top-secret. We're 3660 words into a 10-13K piece. And it's het. Vanilla het. I'm losing my touch...

Bun and I watched The Sun Also Rises. Her comment was Lady Brett needs to get her ducks in a row. I was too busy figuring out how to get a Texas Star out of Lady Brett and her 4 male admirers: a fiance, a lover, a hanger-on and the only one she loves--who is impotent. The theme is "nothing ever really changes."

Must get dressed and pack my lunch.

16) The Court Jester. Danny Kaye in fine form. Basil Rathbone being villainous and Angela Landsbury being very very young. The Induction of the Knights and the Pellet with the Poison sequences are classics. (p)

17) The Sun also Rises. Lady Brett and her four admirers go to Pamplona for the fiesta. IOW, a bunch of drunks do dumb things and realize nothing ever changes. Entertaining in spots, downer. Errol Flynn spent most of the filming as drunk as his character. (p)

18) The Young Rajah. One of Valentino's Lost Films, this was a reconstruction with stills, extant footage and titles. Very beautiful man. Odd plot. (f)

Of th Day's annoyances THESE:

That the Dock released Line-haul an hour late.

That when I got in my truck, I realized I'd been burgled. Now, I don't begrudge them the sack of pop cans for recycling, or the 37c they got from the dashboard. If they are stooping that low, they're desperate. But I'm Mad as Hell about my Sirius radio. That's the second one that's been stolen from me.

That the run was 10 stops and I ran late all day

That everyone had tons of freight.

That everyone had tons of returns.



But, on the plus side, I have an e-book reader, band camp is paid for and all is well.
