My day and welcome to it
Jan. 6th, 2008 12:36 amThree major occurrences:
Sweeney Todd
Bun driving
And work
Work sucked. I came very close to calling in and quitting saying "I work when the equipment does. I can't get the door open." I jacked it open with a pallet jack. Add in a 200 pc order and late linehaul...
But, I came back with Bun and she got behind the wheel of the minivan for the first time.
She backed us out nicely, made a right and two left turns and stopped. She got her wrists tangled and stopped a little short, but she'll do just fine. This was in the dark and rain too.
We met with about 8 of her friends for a viewing of Sweeney Todd Oh wow!
I'd never seen the play. It was perfectly cast, brilliantly choreographed, well sung and acted, and perfect on the cinematic front. Want the soundtrack to the theater production now. Also, absolutely hilarious.
Alan Rickman was at his sleaziest and most insinuating. During his scene with Anthony, he's practically bending the boy over the desk and ravishing him, using words alone.
Slash abounds... But you know, I really never want a naked Timothy Spall in my head again (not that he was in the movie). Gothic was quite enough.
