So, I dropped the kids off at school. 4 kids, three schools. I signed the littles up for the After-School program at the elementary.

Dollface has Jonner's first grade teacher. Jonner has a brand new teacher.

Obi strung 3 words together between guzzling gatorade and going unconscious: "Sign and return."

Bun is...underwhelmed with her World History class. It's apparently "World history as it pertains to the only country that matters: America." They aren't starting with Egypt and Babylon, she says.

But oral communication looks like a good one. The teacher thinks Bun should go for Drama Club. She's got band, and there's talk of forming a GSA.

After that, I hit the gym, the post-office, the license bureau (got my study guide for my hazmat and doubles test) and the grocery.

Then came 720 words of piraty goodness for Torquere, and about an hour cleaning.
Now, the pork is simmering for the schezwan stir-fry.

I'm ready for bed, and I still have to study!

If martial law were enacted here at home, like depicted in the movie "The Siege", easing public fears and quelling dissent would be critical. And that's exactly what the 'Clergy Response Team' helped accomplish in the wake of Katrina.

Now, some of us have known this for over a year.

The information is virtually the same as what we were given after 9/11, but much more devious in its wording. It sounds so remarkably reasonable, and stripping the propaganda from it is much harder to do becase they've hidden some of it in statistics that look proper and solid. It's still heavily Christo-centric, which makes it easier for those of us who are not Christian to see how heavy-handed it still is, and how the government expects to use clergy and church property for government internment camps - they're calling them "community centers" now.

Gang, when the rightwing conspiracy-theory nutballs are agreeing with the Quakers, unitarians and pagans, you got a REAL sign of the apocalypse
