Bad news from all over

On Wednesday, a high school sophomore was killed in a car accident at the end of our street. A police cruiser broadsided her. It's the officer's second accident in 2 years, and witnesses say he was not running with lights and siren as he responded to a call for backup in a robbery case at Wal-Mart. The official story does not agree with the eyewitness story...

Her grandfather lives next door to us. Bun knew her, and Fairy hung out with her. Jonner played with her little sister. Little sister is still in the hospital with a broken collarbone and broken pelvis. Dollface is making a card for her as I type.

On Saturday, a tornado ripped through Dumas, AR. Took most of the business district, including the Big Star owned by a couple from our church, where I used to shop. I haven't lived there in ten years, but I could see the little town, two counties above the Louisiana line.
