It started well.
Dec. 4th, 2004 12:25 pmAll Saturdays should start so nicely.
Being snuggled awake by a cuddly 4 year old who kisses your nose and says "good morning Mommy" before she leaves, locking the door behind her.
Then a serious cuddle with the husband. That's the way to come fully awake.
A shower, breakfast at Shoneys (just the two of us, the kids got cereal at home), some Christmas shopping (and a birthday present), then home to wrap the present and take Obi to the party.
I don't remember having mixed parties in 4th grade. But there were 3 other boys there, and everyone was washing up to make their lasagna.
Then I went to work. Oh my. It's the weekend of the St. Jude's marathon. I crossed the route three times, and got detoured a block from work so I had to go 2 miles out of my way. I took Early Maxwell, only to find it was Flea Market weekend. The guy at the gate let me through when I announced "I'm just trying to get to Christian Brothers! I crossed the marathon route 3 times, and Central's being detoured south on East Parkway." It was a "laugh or I'm going to burst into frustrated tears" moment.
But I got here. I am the only person in the library today. No students, no workers, nobody.
