Tuesday already

And that means only 2 more days working before I get a day off.

I slept way late (10:30) trying to get over this cold that is STILL knocking me on my butt. And i haven't done squat since. I had breakfast and lunch and a nice bath. I watched videos. The Starsky and Hutch Blooper Reel is appalling. I would never believe the actors were straight if I'd seen that first. I'm writing.

And I got my yuletide assignment. ::headdesk, headdesk, headdesk:: I recognize 2 of the fandoms, and I said I could write in one of them. ::headdesk:: I just bought more trouble than I can sell.

It'll be fun. I need to watch the source material, which will be just fine with Dollface.

Yesterday was a decent day:
2 loads laundry, cleaning, lots of cooking, grocery shopping.
Today was a wash.


Bunny failed her eye exam. They asked her to read the letters on the chart and she said "What chart?"
So, optometrist time. She has Quiz Bowl today in a 4 way scramble. Here's hoping she does well.

I feel like someone mopped the floor with my body, mostly by jamming the mop handle straight into my forehead sinuses.

Brilliant, fannish daughter!

Bunny's Quiz Bowl team demolished the one from my husband's school, 310 to 40.

There was a whole round that was nothing but Harry Potter questions and she got all but one of them (she forgot that Aunt Marge's dog was named Ripper), including the Hinky-punk, which even the judges had no clue about.

The Hughes kids went pale when the local team was introduced. "Not Mr. S's daughter? Oh man, let's concede right now." (My husband is considered one of the smartest people on the Hughes campus)


Bunny is also showing a definite flair for her trumpet. She's mastered it all very easily, and never seemed to hit a big frustration point as so many do. She's all "I can't wait for the concert and I definitely want to keep playing next year!"


Right now, we're in rehersal for Winnie the Pooh, which she's not in. Next spring they're doing Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I promised her if she is cast as Willie Wonka (not at all an unlikely prospect), I will make her an exact replica of Johnny Depp's costume from the poster. She squeed.


And her vid "Terra" has been getting great reviews from the BASCon folks. I'd love to hear from some Eclecticon people how "Gift of Amber" went over.
