Keeping busy

Not a bad day. I finally got around to watching Ghost Ship. OK, I have a weak spot a parsec wide when it comes to Gabriel Byrne. Juliana Margulies was really excellent. And Emily Browning fills me with great hope for A Series of Unfortunate Events (She's Violet.) And I knew Mundar looked familiar. He was Eomer as well.

The beginning was suitably grusome, the rest of the film was relatively bloodless, and the pacing was perfect. The end was wonderful! I love those sorts of horror movies. Definitely one to watch on a nice sunny morning while crocheting and not one for late dark nights.


Also, interesting QL. Sam leaped into a chimp. Dollface got a huge kick out of this. "him a monkey. The girl monkey like him!"

I got the cakeboard done up for Bunny's gingerbread house (I'll have pictures tomorrow), and made the dough for my cloverleaf rolls. I have to get up early (4 AM, hardly worth going to bed) to get my rolls rising.

I also cleaned out the fridge and washed a couple pots that should have been done *mumble* ago. Two loads of laundry.

Tomorrow I have to take the rolls in for judging and give blood. I'll crochet, watch MUNCLE through bleary eyes, and fall asleep on the couch as Thomas attacks my toes and Dollface fills my open snoring mouth with catfood.

It occured to me that it might be interesting if we each listed three of our lesser known/hidden talents; I hope people spread this around.

Oh man, is there anything I don't talk about on here? I don't believe in "hidden" talents.

1) I have a near-absolute sense of direction. I very seldom get lost, and given a map, that shrinks to "never."

2) I have a junk-heap trivia memory that tosses up the oddest stuff almost instantly. This has gotten me a reputation for being much smarter than I am.

3) Improvisation is my speciality. I can't tell you how many times I started cooking something, only to find I didn't have all the ingredients. A quick shift, and something else just as tasty resulted. Likewise, sewing, birthday presents and shopping.
