The words came back!!!
But why did they move to Smallville? I have a lovely piece that may be right for the ConStrict zine that just sort of grounded itself in my head. May i say Lex has a gorgeously seductive voice and can make the most absurd statement sound like truth?

I baked a 25 lb turkey today. It turned out well. All i got was a wing because I ate at work. Tomorrow, i get to package it for left-over consumption.

Tomorrow is Mardi Grad/Shrove Tuesday/Pancake Tuesday! There will be flapjacks at Chez Mudd. However, since I won't be home for dinner, they are spared crepes and i am spared hearing them called "creeps" all night.

It struck me: my day consists of putting away things i didn't get out, washing dishes i didn't use and cooking meals i won't get to eat. That is depressing. It's so bad I was wracked with nausea just looking at TV dinners at the store. I couldn't face another round of salisbury steak.

This has been driving me nuts!

this is the sort of stuff libtrarians obsess about at 2 AM )

Still trying to remember the titles of other anthologies.

One had a story titled "the Cruel girl" but google keeps spitting clothing and Hans Christian Andersen at me. O

ne had a poem that ended with the line "the four pawed thing with the human face."

There was a story about a boy who could change things. He turned a bolt into gold, but when it broke it went back to iron. When he changed himself into a giant bug, his buddy swatted him. I think that anthology also had "Quest for the Blank Claveringi" in it, but I could be wrong.

There was another about a poor family that subsisted mostly on opossum. But when an uncle died, they buried him and the possums got at him. They had to turn honest, since they couldn't eat possum any more.

And I'm trying to get my hands on copies of The Ghost in the Swing and Tomorrow's Children That last is edited by Asimov, and rare. it runs $50+ in fair condition.

Any help from LJ land would be faboo.
