"twenty-five xats after the third zode."
1 tal = 0.885 seconds = 1/200 xat
1 xat = 2.950 minutes = 1/50 zode
1 zode = 2 hours, 28 minutes = 1/10 day
OK, I'm suffering from Edgar Rice Burroughs damage. I know this. I haven't read the books in years, yet the thought was automatic.
200 tals = 1 xat
50 xats = 1 zode
10 zodes = 1 padan (day)
67 padans = 1 teean (month)
10 teeans = 1 ord (year)
The day on Mars is about 40 minutes longer than an Earth day, but the year is twice as long.
In other news, I've gotten out of the house 2 mornings running without shouting at anyone. That's some kind of record. Or the zoloft is kicking in nicely.
