Worked hard all morning at work (We do half-days fridays in the summer)

Stopped at Wal-Mart and got stuff on the way home.

Paused a while and then went to the Dentist. Rootcanal/oral surgery time. it's not the plastic fillings, it's the fact my nerves are infected. So some Eurythrimycin and and a refernce to an endodontist

Got three squares crocheted in the waiting room.

Came home, cooked supper.

Made a hennin in green to go with Bunny's sideless surcoat and a Robin Hood hat in red felt to go with Obi's yellow tunic. Sewed by hand as too much work to thread machine. Very pleased. They look adorable. Bunny looks like a Slytherin Princess, and Obi looks like a technicolor pageboy. You expect him to burst into a round of "Life could not better be"

Writing continues apace. You know your lead is in trouble when his barroom pick-up asks not "how do you like it?" but "Do you think you can survive it?"

Must go find my own garb. I'm excited. I haven't been to an event in years. (my Ferengi instincts came back on line. I saw some $1/yard striped cloth and thought: "Pirate/Viking pants, 3 yards/pr $20 retail")

Must get puffies together and addressed for posting tomorrow. Mass mailing at 9 AM. Wheee-fraggin-hee.

I overslept my alarm. being awakened at 4:30 AM to hear the details of a DUI will do that. (hubby witnessed one on his way home from work)

So I got the two big kids up for Lugh, and Jonner wanted to go too. I found him a tunic, but no shoes. He and I were peasants.

We went. Long way over. "I'm so far east I can smell Mordor" commented Bunny.

I worked with the Ministry of Children. We had a blast. Our MOC is a beautiful part-Korean lady who is 6'8". She made me feel short. I took a break and went to "Sand & Sandals: Movies on the Arab world in the Middle Ages" We looked at costuming and sets. Thief of Baghdad with Douglas Fairbanks is absolutely a blast. He's having so much fun we can't help but enjoy ourselves.

My pirate name:
Your pirate name is:
Bloody Anne Kidd

Every pirate lives for something different. For some, it's the open sea. For others (the masochists), it's the food. For you, it's definitely the fighting. Even though you're not always the traditional swaggering gallant, your steadiness and planning make you a fine, reliable pirate. Arr!

Bunny made about $20 for Space Camp by selling fruit and cookies. ($10 investment from Mom, and we ate the left-overs)

I'll be on AIM tonight

They stood together below the Falcon's gangplank and said their last good-byes as they got ready to go their separate ways again.

"Thanks for coming after me, Luke," Han said quietly. He still could not believe that Luke and the other had risked so much just to rescue him.

Luke smiled warmly. "Think nothing of it."

Han shook his head. "No, I'm thinking a lot about it. That carbon freeze was the closest thing to dead there is. Now, coming back...well, my eyes aren't all that's seeing different, buddy."

Luke felt trhe change in Han and he knew that everything he and the others had risked had been worth it. "Solo" means "alone," he thought, he had often wondered whether that was Han's real name. Maybe it was an alias Han had chosen--one that Han felt described him better than his real name. But now Han knew he didn't have to be alone anymore. And Luke knew how important that was.

So, who is the author of that delightful bit above? Cara? Alex? Irene? Vic? Van Eijk? Me?

Wrong. It's an excerpt from the Return of the Jedi Storybook.
Snerk. Slashy canon. Nothing like it in the 'verse."
